Renovated milking parlour with stainless-steel milking stalls

Project Overview

Funded under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, the Government of India’s centrally sponsored agricultural development scheme, this contract renovated a working milking parlour at the university’s cattle breeding farm. It is the most specialised building type in the JAU portfolio — a livestock facility with its own demands around washable surfaces, drainage, hygiene, ventilation, and animal movement. Critically, the farm’s herd operations could not pause for construction, so the renovation had to be phased around the daily milking cycle. Centrally funded scheme work also carries its own documentation, measurement, and audit requirements alongside the physical build.
